ArtPost:Christopher Chiappa: High Fructose Corn Syrup & Cornball





Here we have American Artist Christopher Chiappa exhibitioning part two of his "High Fructose Corn Syrup" show currently running at the Moss and Kate Werble Gallery in NY.
The Moss Gallery will showcase 18 installation pieces consisting hand carved, resin coated and hand painted one off stools. In the post above Is the "eyeball stool",2010, hand resin, styrofoam,plastic feet, and the "graphically dipped stool". 2010, resin-covered styrofoam dipped in oil-based enamel and plastic. As well as the "Cornball", 2010, pigmented resin and spray paint over carved styrofoam 9 1/2 inches in diameter which is a handmade sculpture made up of a basketball covered in corn kernnels, in doing this, 'cornball' layers one recognisable american symbol onto another,referencing Pop Culture as well as Koons' suspended basketballs.

Art Post-Seb Lester "Blazing Print" @ POW



Pictures on Walls takes stock of two versions of a new print by type master Seb Lester. An invertible ambigram, the print can be read both ways up. Lester says his use of the word “Heaven” is not for religious undertone, but instead used to describe a condition of happiness.

Printed on black pike paper in either silver or gold metalic ink. Each version is pressed in an edition of 100.

ART Post:Photographic Molecules (Mikrokomos) By Bigert&Bergstrom




This is an art installation by Bigert&Bergstrom, they’ve set up photos on acrylic spheres with low energy lights inside of each, all of it held by cables. The idea of the project is to document space from a new perspective. I reckon these are pretty amazing, luv the presentation and concept!. Right now im gonna act like Rihanna and say Bigert&Bergstrom 'GO HARD'!!!!! LMAO!!! XD

Brooklyn based artist julia chiang uses a wide variety of materials in her sculpture and installation based
work, including nostalgic and sweet ring pops. the colourfoul candy has been used by chiang in a number
of works often employed as pixels spelling out words. the candy jewels atop the rings melts over time
under gallery lights and slowly drips down the walls. the melted sugar stains the surfaces it touches.
one of chiang's largest ring pop installation was presented at this year's art basel miami in the group
show 'it ain't fair' at ohwow gallery and can be seen in these photos.

CHICAGO — LeBron James became the youngest player to score 15,000 career points, breaking Kobe Bryant's mark by about two years, as the Cleveland Cavaliers pulled away late to beat Chicago, 92-85, Friday for their 12th win in 13 games.

James scored 13 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter, giving him 15,026 in his career, and had 11 rebounds. He scored seven straight late in the game as Cleveland increased its lead to 10, sending the Bulls to their 10th straight loss.

James reached the milestone at 25 years 79 days, and he did it in his 540th game. Bryant was 27 years 136 days and playing his 657th game, according to STATS LLC, when he did it for the Lakers.

Van Haussen Buys Tommy Hilfiger For Just $3 BILLION!!! OMG!!!



Manhattan, New York-based Phillips-Van Heusen, the apparel company that owns brands such as Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole and Izod, announced Monday that it would acquire Tommy Hilfiger from private-equity firm Apax Partners in a $3 billion buyout deal. Apax acquired Hilfiger in 2006 for $1.6 billion.
The Tommy Hilfiger brand – preppy, lots of color – debuted in 1985 with a clothing line for men, then expanded into shoes, accessories, fragrance and home products for men, women and kids. The Hilfiger brand really shot through the roof in the ’90s, but by the later part of the decade consumer tastes were shifting and Hilfiger was no longer the ‘it’ fashion brand.

Okay Lady Gaga appears sluggish and just about to drop on stage on her closing act 'Bad Romance'.
She got thru the song though..what a champion!!!! Never disappoints EVER!!! This isnt the first time she has had a health scare...she cancelled her concert in Indiana Purdue University after passin out in the dressing room before her show.
